SIMPEC were chosen and trusted by the CPB/UGL JV (Systems Connect) to provide Electrical Construction, Quality Assurance, Test and Commissioning and Permit to Work (PTW) office control services throughout the Sydney Metro and Southwest project. Upon completion, the Sydney Metro will consist of four metro lines, 46 Stations (seven underground) and 113km of new metro rail (15.5 kilometre section of rail is underground). SIMPEC provided management, supervision, engineering, PTW Officers, electrical trades and mechanical trades workers.
Systems Connect is an unincorporated joint venture between CIMIC Group companies CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering. On completion Systems Connect will deliver metro rail track, power, communications, signalling systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth running of the Sydney Metro City and Southwest.
Works Included:
· LV testing and commissioning
· DC traction termination and testing
· Installation through to commissioning of all tunnel and station drainage sumps.
· Station wide E&I works including the installation and testing of HV and LV switch rooms.
· Tunnel wide E&I works including the installation and testing of all electrical and control equipment.
· Tunnel and station containment installation
· Control of PTW office and all electrical and mechanical isolations throughout the test and commissioning phase of the project.
· Tunnel ventilation system-electrical control installation and quality assurance.
